Advanced Technology, Competitive Price

Underground DrillH&S maintains a fleet of surface and underground diamond drills reflecting the latest drill equipment technology available.

Our underground drills are long stroke electric hydraulic units some of which feature computer controlled touch screens for operations that permit nonstop drilling with a single operator and unattended drilling. This new phase of drill has high mechanical availability, above average penetration ability and good operator handling characteristics.

The back bone of the underground fleet is comprised of "B-10, B-15 and B-20" Series drills manufactured in Canada and capable of drilling to depths of 5000 feet. These drills are unitized which facilitate quick moves between drill stations and easier setting up. All drills feature automated, synchronized rod handling, extremely reliable hydraulic power and pumping components protected by high efficiency filtration systems.

Overall improved reliability and higher efficiency directly translates into more core sample recovered per hour of drilling. As a result we can offer a lower cost per metre drilled for our customers. H&S is committed to providing the best sample possible at a competitive price.

Our surface fleet of drills is comprised of equipment that provides H&S with drilling capacity up to 4,000 metres. Long stroke technology, rod handling and diesel powered state of the art electric-hydraulic components means that our surface drills are capable of delivering a consistent, accurate and continuous sample for our clients regardless of the geological conditions.

Innovations in Equipment and Methods

Drill and OperatorThe needs of the industry we serve are constantly changing. H&S has a demonstrated commitment to develop and/or utilize the latest technology and drilling techniques to meet these changes. Such innovations include hydrostatically balanced power systems capable of operating all components of the drill, automated sequencing for making and breaking rod strings and automated synchronized rod handling.

To supplement the drilling operation, it is possible to provide three dimensional positioning data through the use of electromagnetic surveying instruments to definitively spot the advancement of the hole in three dimensions.
